I stopped blogging regularly in 2011 and began publishing The Tim Cohn Digital Daily.
Advertising dematerialization occurs when a company’s advertising spend with media contracts when shifting its ad dollars from traditional media advertising to digital media advertising.

There are many theories as to why advertising spend decreases when transferred from traditional media to digital media however dematerialization provides the simplest explanation for this economic phenomena.
From Wikipedia: In economics, dematerialization refers to the absolute or relative reduction in the quantity of materials required to serve economic functions in society. In common terms, dematerialization means doing more with less.
