Small Business Mistakes

December 27, 2010

I recently got a call from a local small business owner in need of some marketing help.

The small business owner found my phone number via a search and called because of my business name and location.

We spent about thirty minutes on the phone discussing his business challenges the greatest of which I determined was his firm’s name.

What was his company’s name?

Generation III.

Pretty clever huh?

If you can tell me what his business does without any additional background information consider yourself psychic!

The last thing a small business can afford to do is to make it difficult for prospects to do business with them.

Hanging a business name no one can understand on the door may be one of the biggest mistakes a small business owner can make.
