AboutUs.org

I was doing some research the other day and came across About Us. Unlike other wiki models which lack content at birth, the site’s founder Ray King was able to populate About Us with data from millions of websites through a partnership with cofounder Name Intelligence.

In the month since being launched, the site has shot into the top 2,000 sites worldwide according to Alexa.

My First Blog Entry

September 4, 2006

Welcome to the Tim Cohn blog.

This is my third attempt at blogging. My first two forays were still early in the adoption cycle and prior to my getting a contract to write a book for John Wiley and Sons.

I read recently in Strategy+Business that the consultants at Booz Allen Hamilton didn’t think the blogging phenomenon would continue. Although, I can see their point – blogging is an uphill model ie., it requires time and effort, I think the social benefits of blogging will exceed its costs otherwise.
